About Lebanon Auction
We’re the Cowart family and we’d like to welcome you to the website for the Lebanon Auction Yard. We are located on Oregon Hwy 20 between Albany and Lebanon. Less than 10 miles from Interstate 5, the auction is easily accessible and features an 11-acre site with complete livestock handling and auction yard facilities. Our electronic ring scales, steel barns, computerized office system and appropriate pen sizes allow us to market consignments anywhere between 1 to 750 head.
Though we’re capable of marketing a single animal, we are also well equipped to market full herds, small and large. If you need assistance getting livestock to or from the auction, we can help. Check out our services page for more information.

Lebanon Auction Yard History
The Lebanon Auction Yard originally opened for business in the late 1940’s and has been in this area for over half a century. It was purchased by Coy and Helen Cowart in 1987. At that time, Coy had recently retired from a job in construction and he was looking for something to keep himself busy. He and Helen were interested in owning a business. Helen had previously worked at Lebanon Auction Yard, so purchasing the yard seemed like a natural fit.
The Cowarts credit their customers and community with helping the business to survive and grow. In 1993, the building burned down, but their customers and members of the community volunteered time and money to help the Cowarts rebuild. They put up a tent and didn’t cancel the auction. “The fire just about broke us,” Coy said, but the response of our customers “makes the heart feel good.”

Since that time, the Cowarts have made numerous improvements. They extensively refitted and remodeled the auction to include steel barns and holding pens, electronic ring scales, computerized inventory and sales records and many other cutting-edge improvements. They’ve grown Lebanon Auction Yard into one of the most modern livestock market facilities in Oregon.
Although Helen and Coy Cowart still attend auctions, the yard is now run by their son, Terry and his wife, Lezlie, along with Terry and Lezlie’s son, Cody and his wife, Sarah. It’s a family owned and family operated business. The Cowart’s take a lot of pride in running Lebanon Auction. Their key priorities are getting top price for their customer’s livestock and providing excellent service to all that they serve.
